FTMO Launches cTrader as Official Platform Option
FTMO has officially integrated cTrader into their evaluation and funded account infrastructure. Traders can now choose cTrader as their primary trading platform when purchasing a new challenge or requesting a platform change on their funded account.
Why cTrader Matters
cTrader has long been considered the premium retail trading platform, favored by experienced traders for its:
- Level II pricing depth — See the full order book, not just the best bid/ask
- Advanced order types — Including stop-limit, trailing stops with server-side execution, and one-cancels-other (OCO) orders
- cAlgo/cBots — Native algorithmic trading engine with C# scripting that's far more powerful than MT4's MQL4
- Detachable charts — Multi-monitor setups are natively supported without workarounds
How to Switch
Existing FTMO traders can request a platform change through the dashboard. New challenges offer cTrader as a selection option at checkout. Note that account history does not transfer between platforms — switching creates a fresh account with your current balance.
Our Take
This is a massive quality-of-life upgrade for FTMO traders. cTrader's execution engine is widely regarded as faster and more transparent than MetaTrader's, with no dealer intervention and true market-depth visibility. We strongly recommend serious traders test cTrader if they haven't already.
