For example, if you make $5,000 total and the consistency rule is 40%, no single day can account for more than $2,000. This penalizes traders who have one exceptional day followed by smaller ones. Firms without this rule let you trade naturally — if you catch a major move and make 80% of your profit in one session, that's perfectly fine.
