Compare prop firm difficulty based on rules, drawdown, and profit targets
Loading Difficulty Index...
Pass rates for proprietary trading firms are notoriously low (often below 10%). This is rarely due to a trader's inability to find good setups, but rather the strict mathematical constraints placed upon them. The Difficulty Index aggregates maximum drawdown limits, profit targets, daily loss limits, and hidden rules (like consistency or lot size limits) to generate a unified score.
The most crucial metric when evaluating difficulty is the Profit Target vs. Maximum Drawdown ratio. A firm asking for an 8% profit target with a 10% maximum drawdown (0.8 ratio) is mathematically much easier to pass than a firm requiring a 10% target with an 8% drawdown (1.25 ratio).
