HFT & Scalping Allowed Prop Firms 2026: The Bot Guide
Warning: "HFT" (High Frequency Trading) means two different things in prop trading.
- The Cheat: Latency Arbitrage. Using a fast feed to front-run the broker's slow feed. (Banned by 99% of firms on funded accounts).
- The Pass: Using HFT bots to pass the Challenge Phase only. (Allowed by some firms).
- The Strategy: Legit high-frequency scalping (Tick scalping).
This guide focuses on firms that allow HFT for Passing and firms that allow Aggressive Scalping on funded accounts.
The "HFT Pass" Model
Some firms allow you to use an HFT bot to pass the evaluation instantly.
- Why? They know HFT doesn't work on live accounts. They want your activation fee.
- The Catch: Once funded, you must trade manually or with a standard EA. You strictly cannot use the HFT bot on the funded account.
1. Infinity Forex Funds
One of the few remaining "HFT Pass" allowed firms.
- Challenge: HFT Allowed.
- Funded: Manual/Standard EA only.
- Payouts: Reliable so far, but high risk model.
2. Quantec Trading
- Model: Geared towards algo traders.
- Rules: Very specific about which EAs are allowed.
(Editorial Note: The "HFT Pass" industry is dying in 2026 due to platform crackdowns. Proceed with extreme caution).
The "Legit Scalper" Model
These firms don't allow "Arb Bots", but they LOVE aggressive manual scalpers or standard EAs.
1. Alpha Capital Group (The Scalper's Choice)
- Why: 0.0 Pip Spreads.
- Tech: Their ACG Markets backend is built for speed.
- Rules: You can scalp 1-min candles. Just don't use "Tick Scalping" software that floods the server.
2. Apex Trader Funding (Futures)
- Why: Rithmic data is fast.
- Rules: You can trade as fast as you want.
- The Limit: Do not "flip" contracts in < 5 seconds repeatedly on news. They call this "fishing" or "gambling".
3. FundingPips
- Why: Tight spreads and fast execution.
- Restrictions: Strict on "Tick Scalping" or "Grid Martingale" EAs that risk blowing the account instantly.
| Feature | Allowed HFT (Arbitrage) | Allowed Scalping (Manual/EA) |
|---|---|---|
| Passing Method | Instant (1 min) | Skill Based |
| Funded Account | Must switch strategies | Keep using same strategy |
| Longevity | Low (Firm often closes) | High (Sustainable) |
| Risk Level | Extreme | Standard |
What gets you BANNED? (The Blacklist)
Even at "Scalping Friendly" firms, doing these things will get your payout denied:
- Latency Arbitrage: Exploiting a laggy feed.
- Reverse Trading: Betting opposite directions on two accounts.
- Server Spamming: Sending 100 orders per second to crash/lag the server.
- Tick Scalping: Opening/closing trades in < 1 second consistently.
Verdict
If you have a "Legit" Algo (Trend follower, Breakout bot):
- Go to Alpha Capital or FundedNext. They support EAs well.
If you have a "Cheat" Bot (HFT/Arb):
- The industry is closing the door on you. Only high-risk, low-tier firms allow this now. The "Golden Era" of HFT passing is over.
