FundingPips Rule Structure Revision & Exposure Adjustments

FundingPips has announced a series of rule modifications effective at Market Open on Monday, 23 February. The update focuses on simplifying rule enforcement and reducing subjective oversight.

Key Changes

1. Removal of Subjective Rule Enforcement

Subjective evaluations related to trading behavior (e.g., toxic trading flow reviews) have been removed. Traders are now assessed strictly based on defined hard limits.

2. Lot Exposure Restrictions (Master Accounts)

Previous daily and overall lot exposure limits on Master accounts have been removed. No fixed lot-size cap is now stated.

3. Risk Warning Adjustments

The frequency of risk warnings has been reduced, aligned with the simplified rule structure.

4. News Trading Rule Update

News trading restrictions have been standardized:

• Trading is restricted 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after scheduled news events
• No execution-time exceptions
• Violations result in profit deduction only, not account breach
• Applies uniformly across all programs & reward cycles, including On-Demand accounts

5. Risk Per Trade (Master Accounts)

Risk per trade idea has been adjusted based on account size:

• Accounts below $50K: Maximum 3% per trade idea
• Accounts $50K and above: Maximum 2% per trade idea

Our Take

The removal of subjective rule enforcement is the headline here. Previously, "toxic trading flow" was a vague term that could be applied retroactively to invalidate payouts. By moving to hard limits only, FundingPips has significantly increased transparency. The news trading standardization (profit deduction, not breach) is also trader-friendly.
